Who Is Seven Stone Poetry Cafe

Seven Stone Poetry Cafe started out 6 years ago as a small website I put up just for fun. I created a section called the "Spirit Cafe" where I posted my poems and then I created a section called the "Stone Cafe" where I put a script up to allow others to submit their poems. I think the thing that everyone liked about it is that it was free and you could post your poem without having to wait for the administrator to approve it. It was instantaneous. People could just come in and write as they felt. Sometimes it would be good thoughts and sometimes not so good, but that was the beauty of it. I also created a message board called the Forum Cafe, where anyone could come in and discuss poetry or just anything they desire. I received "numerous" compliments on the site including someone who found their long lost brother on my site and another person who said the site helped them to keep their will to live through their love to write poetry. Stories like these really made me think it was time to improve the site and make it easier to read and post poems so I revamped it to what you see now.

What Does Seven Stone Stand For?

The "Seven" in "SevenStone" stands for spiritual and physical completeness. In selected Bible texts, you can see the symbolic reflection of completeness. The number 7 occurs in one way or another in nearly 600 passages of the Bible. For instance, God finished the Creation in six days and rested on the seventh. From the Seven days of Creation to the Seven Seals of Revelation, Scripture is saturated with the Number Seven. The "Stone" in "SevenStone" stands for a foundation of Faith and Belief. Stones can be used for constructing walls, floors, buildings, etc, therefore they are known as foundation blocks or cornerstones. In Christianity, Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith. He came and built a foundation and gave us the truth to believe in. The Old Testament prophesizes about Jesus' coming many years before he came. It stated, "The Stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner" (Psalms 118:22). It is my belief that in order to have spiritual completeness, you have to build that foundation through that corner stone.
